High fructose corn syrup is similar to table sugar. As use of high-fructose corn syrup has increased, so have levels of obesity and related health problems.  Last week we talked about blood glucose and learned that our body tries to regulate our sugar levels in order to stay healthy. So when you see high fructose corn syrup in the ingredients at the grocery be aware of how much sugar you’re eating!
